11th CONVOCATION - 2019

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE GRADUATES


 

1.

The 11th Convocation of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) will be held on Friday, 11 October 2019 at 3.30 pm at the Dhaka International Trade Fair Ground (adjacent to BICC), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

2.

Bachelor & Master Degree holders of Spring-2017, Fall-2017 & Spring-2018 semesters will be entitled to participate in the 11th Convocation.

3.

Convocation Costumes will be distributed among the Registered Graduates on Wednesday, 09 October 2019 (10:00 am to 5:00 pm) and Thursday, 10 October 2019 (10:00 am to 1:00 pm) from the Exhibition & Jury Room (Room No.: 2C02) of AUST by showing the counterpart of the Registration Form.

Convocation Costume of Registered Graduates of M.Ed. program will be distributed from their Academic Campus at Shyamoli on 09 October 2019 (10:00 am to 5:00 pm) and Thursday, 10 October 2019 (10:00 am to 1:00 pm) by showing the counterpart of the Registration Form.

Convocation Rehearsal will be held at the venue, i.e. Dhaka International Trade Fair Ground (adjacent to BICC), Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka on 10 October 2019 at 3.00 pm (sharp). All faculty members and registered graduates must be present in time for rehearsal.

6.

On the Convocation Day, all faculty members and registered graduates must reach the Convocation Venue on Friday, 11 October 2019 within 2.30 pm for security checking and other formalities.

7.

One guest (parent/spouse) for each graduating student will be allowed to attend the Convocation Ceremony at the Convocation Venue. Graduates are requested to collect their Invitation Card while receiving their Academic Costume. No one will be allowed to enter the venue without Invitation Card.

8.

Snacks packet will be distributed just after the Convocation ceremony among the guests, faculty members and graduates at the Exit gates.

9.

Graduates must return their Convocation Costumes to the authorized persons at the Convocation Venue on the same day from just after the convocation ceremony up to 5:00 pm and at the AUST campus from 5.00 pm to 7:00 pm on the same day (11 October 2019) and get the counterpart of the Registration Form sealed and signed by the authorized person.

10.

Faculty Members and others who received Convocation Costume must ensure to return the same within 5(five) days from the convocation date.

11.

There will be a Convocation Dinner at 8:00 pm on the same day (11 October 2019). The Venue will be the AUST Campus. All Registered Graduates, Faculty Members and Staff of AUST will get one Dinner Card each free of cost. They may collect additional Dinner Cards (maximum two) for guests (parent/spouse) on payment of Tk. 750.00 for each card. None will be allowed to enter without valid Dinner Card.

12.

The original Certificates will be distributed among the Graduates from the Office of the Controller of Examinations (Block D, Level-5) on producing the counterpart of Convocation Registration Form with proof of returning Convocation Costume on 11 October 2019 (Time : 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm) and subsequent office days (during office time).

13.

Provisional Certificate, if issued, must be returned back at the time of receiving the Original Certificate.

14.

If the provisional certificate was not issued, then the Character Certificate from the Proctor must be produced to collect the Original Certificate.

15.

Graduates failing to return their convocation costume within 20 October 2019 shall have to pay a fine of Tk.2,000.00 (Taka two thousand) only.

16. Penalty for loss of any part of Convocation Costume is as follows :
 
a.   Each Gown                  -           Tk. 2,000.00
b.   Each Hood                   -           Tk.    500.00
c.   Each Cap                     -           Tk.    500.00
