AUST promotes  research initiatives of its faculty members, students and other researches. All the departments carry out their own research programs.

The University has established Research & Project Centers for the Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering departments. Similar centers are going to be established for other departments. Recently, a Project Studio has been inaugurated for the Architecture department to encourage research and project works.

The University has undertaken schemes for providing excellent research environment. For this purpose the library facilities are being improved significantly.  The University encourages potential researches to publish research outputs through national and international publications and conducting seminars, workshops, etc.

A number of teachers of the University have already published their research output in different international conference proceedings. A number of seminars and workshops have also been arranged by the researches.
