The Admission
Committee of the University will prepare separate merit lists for all
groups of applicants namely GL, FF and RA, and for the candidates of
GCE O & A-level or equivalent. However, FF and RA candidates, who were
qualified to appear in the Admission Test as GL candidates according
to their SSC & HSC or equivalent results, will be included in the
merit list of GL candidates. The final Merit Lists will be displayed
on the Notice Board and the University Website on 05.11.2019
along with instructions concerning the final selection of the
candidates and choice of program to be pursued. |

For the preparation
of merit lists, GPA of SSC & HSC and calculated equivalent GPA of O &
A-level will be converted to marks.
Final merit lists
will be prepared separately based on the marks obtained in the
admission test and converted marks of SSC & HSC (with equal weight of
SSC and HSC) for the groups GL, FF & RA; whereas marks obtained in the
admission test and converted equivalent marks of O-level & A-level (with
equal weight of O-level & A-level) for candidates of GCE.
For breaking ties
(determining merit positions of candidates with the same marks), one
or more of the criteria shown below will be applied in the order they
are listed:
Criteria for
breaking ties for the group GL, FF & RA:
marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of
Admission Test, Grade Point (GP) in HSC subjects (Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry, English and Bengali), GP in SSC subjects
(Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Bengali and Higher
Mathematics).
Criteria for
breaking ties for candidates of English medium:
marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of
Admission Test, Grade Point (GP) in A-level subjects (Mathematics,
Physics & Chemistry), GP in O-level subjects (Mathematics, Physics,
Chemistry & English). |
The final merit list
of Architecture & Engineering programs will be published in the
university notice board and website. Candidates of the final merit
lists of Architecture & Engineering programs will be asked to appear
before the Admission Committee in the order of candidate's merit
position to give their choices of specific program they want to
pursue.
THE CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR ADMIT CARD AT THE
TIME OF INTERVIEW.
Common Message from admission website:
All applicants in the published final
merit lists will receive a message from OnnoRokom Software Ltd: "You
must appear before the Admission Committee along with your Admit
Card to give your choice of program". For details
of interview schedule, see website (www.aust.edu).
If any candidate fails to appear before
the Admission Committee for giving his/her choice of program on the
specified date and time, his/her candidature will not be considered
again.
A student, having a
choice of selection for a department and a waiting for another
department, must take admission in to his/her selected department
within the specified date; otherwise his/her choice of waiting will
automatically be cancelled.) |
