9. MERIT LIST

The Admission Committee of the University will prepare separate merit lists for all groups of applicants namely GL, FF and RA, and for the candidates of GCE O & A-level or equivalent. However, FF and RA candidates, who were qualified to appear in the Admission Test as GL candidates according to their SSC & HSC or equivalent results, will be included in the merit list of GL candidates. The final Merit Lists will be displayed on the Notice Board and the University Website on 05.11.2019 along with instructions concerning the final selection of the candidates and choice of program to be pursued.

Preparation of Merit Lists for Architecture and Engineering programs

For the preparation of merit lists, GPA of SSC & HSC and calculated equivalent GPA of O & A-level will be converted to marks.

Final merit lists will be prepared separately based on the marks obtained in the admission test and converted marks of SSC & HSC (with equal weight of SSC and HSC) for the groups GL, FF & RA; whereas marks obtained in the admission test and converted equivalent marks of O-level & A-level (with equal weight of O-level & A-level) for candidates of GCE.

For breaking ties (determining merit positions of candidates with the same marks), one or more of the criteria shown below will be applied in the order they are listed:

Criteria for breaking ties for the group GL, FF & RA: marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of Admission Test, Grade Point (GP) in HSC subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Bengali), GP in SSC subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Bengali and Higher Mathematics).

Criteria for breaking ties for candidates of English medium: marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English of Admission Test, Grade Point (GP) in A-level subjects (Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry), GP in O-level subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & English).

The final merit list of Architecture & Engineering programs will be published in the university notice board and website. Candidates of the final merit lists of Architecture & Engineering programs will be asked to appear before the Admission Committee in the order of candidate's merit position to give their choices of specific program they want to pursue. THE CANDIDATES MUST BRING THEIR ADMIT CARD AT THE TIME OF INTERVIEW.

Common Message from admission website:
