There are two semesters (Spring and Fall) in every year. Admission for Fall 2019 semester is going to be opened for the candidates who passed HSC or equivalent examinations and GCE A-level in 2018 or 2019. Notice for admission to Bachelor's Degree Programs has been published in some of the national daily newspapers as well as AUST website (http://www.aust.edu/admission.htm). Foreign candidates can apply for admission. Application form for foreign candidates is available in the university website.

For undergraduate studies, the Faculty of Architecture & Planning and Faculty of Engineering together are referred to as ENG. The ENG includes different programs namely Architecture (ARC), Civil Engineering (CE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Textile Engineering (TE), Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME).

In each Faculty there are three groups of students namely General (GL), Freedom Fighter (FF) and Remote & Undeveloped Area (RA).

As per the Private University Act 2010, 3% of the total seats are reserved for children (only sons and daughters) of Freedom Fighters, while another 3% for poor and meritorious candidates of Remote and Undeveloped Areas.

** Please note that grandchildren of Freedom Fighters are not eligible to get this quota facility.

Top 5% students of Bachelor's program in order of semester final marks in each semester in each department will be eligible to get 50% tuition fee waiver for that semester.

► For HSC and GCE A-level passed candidates:

The candidates who have passed HSC or equivalent examination and GCE A-level in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply and they must apply through Web-based system of https://aust.admission.online from 20 September 2019 to 11 October 2019. Total amount Tk. 506/- will be paid through bKash where the amount includes Tk. 500 as application fee and Tk. 6/- as bKash service charge.
